At least 11 persons sustained varying degrees of injuries following a head-on collision between two vehicles along the Magboro end of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Saturday.
PUNCH Metro correspondent, who was at the scene shortly after the crash, reports that one of the drivers fled the scene before emergency responders arrived.
While three passengers escaped unhurt, the injured victims were rushed to a nearby hospital for medical attention.
When contacted, the spokesperson for the Ogun State Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Florence Okpe, confirmed the incident and attributed the crash to excessive speeding. (Punch)
