Nigeria’s confirmed cases of coronavirus reached 58,647 on Tuesday night following 187 fresh infections, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) said in an update.
Making the announcement via its Twitter handle, the government agency said 49,937 previously reported cases are now recovered and discharged.

The Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention in a Tuesday, September 29 update reported that total cases in Africa now stand at 1, 465 023 while the total deaths is now 35, 750 and put the recoveries at 1, 210, 548.
The number of people worldwide who have died with COVID-19 has passed one million, researchers say, with many regions still reporting surging numbers of new infections.
According to reports, the total cases worldwide is now over 33 million of which more than 23 have recovered.
