2 die, 4 injured in Mai Tula convoy crash

Two persons were on Sunday killed and four injured in an accident involving the convoy of the Mai Tula, Alhaji Abubakar Buba Atare at Kumo in Gombe State while on his way to Tula in Kaltungo Local Government area.

The accident claimed the longest-serving pilot driver, Danjuma Mohammed, also known as Wakili Mota and the chief cook, Mohammed Lawal also known as Sokale Tula who were in the Mai Tula pilot car.

The eyewitness said the two victims died on the spot when a J5 Peugeot overtaking a Dangote truck lost control and ran into the convoy.

Four other persons who sustained various degrees of injuries were rushed to Federal Teaching Hospital, FTH, Gombe for treatment. (Nation)
