The Chief of Defence Staff, General Abayomi Olanisakin, has warned politicians to shun actions capable of jeopardizing national security in the 2019 general elections. Olanisakin gave the warning in Sokoto yesterday during the assessment of the Disaster Response Unit of the 119 Forward Operation Base of the Nigerian Airforce, Sokoto. He also urged politicians to use dialogue to resolve their differences as well as educate their supporters on the need to ensure peace. Represented by the Director, Psychological Warfare of the Defence Headquarters, Major-General Habila Vintenaba, Olonisakin expressed the readiness of the Nigeria Army and other security agencies to maintain peace before, during and after the 2019 general elections.
