The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a 29-year-old man over alleged attempt to kill his mother for ritual purpose through an advanced cyber fraud known as Yahoo Plus. The victim, Mrs. Alice Akinola, had her skull smashed with a plank studded with nails and then a pressing iron during the alleged attack by her son, Taiwo Akinola, inside their flat located at 2, Raji Ajanaku Street, Alaja Road, Ayobo area of Lagos, at about 8.30p.m., Sunday. As at yesterday, doctors at an undisclosed hospital were still battling to revive the victim, who was brought in unconscious, with a deep cut on her forehead and a swollen face. Read more
