Activities in Igando and Iyana-Iba axis were Wednesday paralysed when hundreds of commercial drivers engaged officials of the Lagos Task force within the axis. Gunmen kill two policemen, civilian in Kaduna (Punch)
The Kaduna State Police Command has confirmed the killing of two policemen and a civilian by unknown gunmen in the early hours of Wednesday in Kaduna State. Policeman slammed into detention for assaulting lawyer (Punch)
The President of the Nigerian Bar Association, Paul Usoro, SAN, has revealed that the policeman, who allegedly assaulted a lawyer, Luqman Bello, in Ilorin has been detained. At least six children were killed and 25 injured Wednesday when lightning struck a primary school in northern Tanzania, a local government official said. The lightning hit Emaco Vision primary school, in the mountainous Geita region, during the morning. “It was about 9am, six pupils were killed and 25 were injured,” said regional education coordinator Yese Kanyuma. Teens among 18 killed in bombing at Crimea college, Russia says (CNN)
At least 18 people were killed — most of them teenagers — and about 50 more injured following a bombing in Russian-annexed Crimea, according to Russia. Russia’s National Anti-Terrorism Committee told CNN in a statement that the blast was caused by an “unidentified explosive device” at a college in the city of Kerch — where a new 19-kilometer bridge links Crimea to Russia. Sergio Ramos has declared his innocence over a tangle with Raheem Sterling during England’s 3-2 victory over Spain in Seville on Monday. There was contact between the Spain centre-back and Sterling after the England forward had gone down under a challenge from another home player in the Nations League fixture.
