663 new cases take Nigeria’s confirmed COVID-19 infections beyond 13,000

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) Tuesday confirmed a total number of 663 new COVID-19 coronavirus cases in the country via its Twitter handle. 

This brings the total for Nigeria to 13,464 with 4,206 people so far discharged and 365 deaths. 

According to NCDC’s tweet, Nigeria’s economic hub Lagos State has the highest number of 170, followed by its neighbour Ogun State with 108, while many of the 25 states and FCT recorded double digits resulting in the highest single-day record for the country.

Worldwide, the number of those infected have reportedly exceeded seven million.and over 400,000 deaths have occurred.
