Tinubu appoints new management for Nigerian Ports Authority

President Bola Tinubu has announced new leadership for the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA). 

Dr. Abubakar Dantsoho, with a robust academic and professional background in maritime technology and international transport, has been appointed as the new managing director, according to a statement by the president spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale.

Dr Dantsoho previously held several key positions within the NPA, demonstrating his extensive experience and dedication to the sector.

Additionally, Senator Adedayo Adeyeye, a seasoned lawyer, journalist and politician, has been named the chairman of the board. With a rich career that includes serving as Minister of State for Works and a Senator representing Ekiti South Senatorial District, Adeyeye brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to the board.

Tinubu has expressed high expectations for the new leadership, emphasising the need for excellence in delivering efficient port services and enhancing industry outcomes. This strategic appointment aims to strengthen the NPA’s operations and drive growth in Nigeria’s maritime sector.
