Lagos Singles & Married Conference to feature Tope Alabi, Bisi Adewale, others

Tope Alabi and her husband, Soji will join Pastor Bisi Adewale to discuss issues of divorce and marriage at this year’s Lagos Singles and Married Conference.

Organised by Family Boosters Ministry the conference with the theme: “Marriage 5-5-5”, is scheduled to take place on October 27, 2019 at the National Stadium Gymnasium Hall, Surulere, Lagos by 2pm with about 7, 000 Nigerians in attendance.

According to the host, Adewale, the conference, which is part of the activities to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the ministry, sets out to expose things that are destroying marriages and those to uphold before people commit to marriage.

He said the idea behind the programme is to help the society build a strong family, noting that there is no nation and society without family.

Adewale linked the continuous rate of kidnapping, terrorism attacks, and other killings to the weak family institution, noting that the government is not responsible for the bad state of the nation, rather the weak family foundation.

“If everybody is able to have good families and they are able to raise godly children, there won’t be a single kidnapper, armed robber or criminals on the street. When people miss their palaces, they end up in prisons. But my idea is that let’s turn our homes to palaces where every parent is equipped both mentally and financially to take care of their children,” he said.

He said bringing gospel artiste Tope Alabi and her husband to lead the conference, is to help couples and singles learn from their successful home, while they minister to the congregation

“She and her husband are not just coming to sing but are coming as a role model to tell the people that it can be possible to work together to build and stand together as a couple,” he added.

On her part, the gospel artiste advised that marriages should be godly and taken as that of Abraham and Sarah, while the couples have discipline and respect for each other to build a strong and beautiful home.

The programme, he said, would be an awesome time in the presence of God for both singles and married, as she minsters and help mend broken homes to reduce the rate of divorce in the country.
