Sen. Tokunbo Abiru (Lagos-East) has congratulated President Bola Tinubu, on his Wednesday’s victory at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal.
Abiru felicitated Tinubu in a statement issued by his media aide, Mr Enitan Olukotun, in Lagos on Thursday.
The lawmaker hailed the affirmation of Tinubu’s mandate, describing the tribunal’s verdict as the true reflection of the people’s will.
Abiru also congratulated members and supporters of the All Progressives Congress and millions of Nigerians who voted for Tinubu on Feb. 25.
Abiru, the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Banking, Insurance and other Financial Institutions, expressed confidence that the president would not falter in his promise to renew Nigerians’ hope.
He urged Nigerians across political, religious and ethnic divides to support the Bola Tinubu administration for a better Nigeria.
“I rejoice with our dear Leader and the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, on this landmark victory.
“The tribunal has further re-echoed the will of Nigerians through its verdict, it is a well-deserved victory.
“Regardless of our various political leanings, we should put the past behind us and be involved in the nation-building task,” Abiru said. (NAN)
