Ikechukwu Ezenwa, the Enyimba of Aba goalkeeper, and members of the technical crew will be the only ones leaving Nigeria for Victoria, the capital of Seychelles, as the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has granted permission for foreign base players to join the team right there due to logistics reasons.
Issuing a communiqué after their meeting on Monday, the NFF Executive Committee unanimously agreed that Ezenwa and the team’s officials based in Nigeria will leave from the country aboard a commercial airline.
“For ease of logistics and in consideration of convenience, Board approved that the players (as well as team officials not based in Nigeria) fly direct into Seychelles from their bases in Europe while the one player from Nigeria and Nigeria –based match officials fly from Nigeria aboard commercial aircraft,” read the communiqué in part.
