AFCON: Ighalo wary of ‘tricky’ Group B (Punch)

Striker Odion Ighalo has described their group as tricky, but is confident the Super Eagles will kick-start their 2019 Africa Cup of Nations on a winning note when they face Burundi in their opening Group B game on Saturday.

The Super Eagles have failed to win a game in their last two pre-tournament games after playing a goalless draw against Zimbabwe and losing 1-0 to Senegal.

Despite the winless streak, the Shanghai Shenhua striker remains confident the Eagles attack will deliver at the tournament.

“We have prepared well for the tournament and our trainings have been intensive and hard. So, we can’t wait to start and get going,” Ighalo told Sports Extra. Read more
