After her critically-acclaimed debut single, “Little Black Bird”, UK-based Afro-soul singer and songwriter, Uchechi Emelonye, has released two additional songs. Titled “Sunrise to Sundown” and “Underwater”, the songs are a reaffirmation of the lyrical and vocal skills of the Law undergraduate already being hailed as ‘Afro-soul Princess’.
Describing “Sunrise to Sundown”, Uchechi Emelonye, says, “I wanted to explore a theme lighter than I have previously done, while still singing about something everyone can relate to. I wrote “Sunrise to Sundown” myself, like I write all my songs. It was produced by Zaq Sawyer Coffey in Birmingham.”
The second of three siblings, Uchechi Emelonye is a young, hot, new artiste from Imo State, Nigeria, creating Afro-inspired music that feeds the soul. She balances this passion with being a final year Law student at the University of Lancaster, a top UK higher institution and has been writing songs since the age of 13.
