All That Glitters Is Y’ello: A Night of Fine Dining at MTN’s Special Dinner in Abuja

As the guests arrived for the evening, all was set in gold and a good dose of Y’ello

It was a night of good food, fine wine and soul serenading music at the Dunes Event Centre in Maitama, Abuja, on Wednesday July 24, 2019, as Nigeria’s leading communications company, MTN Nigeria Communications Plc, hosted its prestigious customers, and other stakeholders to a night of pomp to mark the company’s achievements in 18 years.

The event presented an opportunity for loyal clients, industry stakeholders and public officials whom as a result of proximity couldn’t make it to the Lagos edition of the special dinner a chance to celebrate Nigeria’s second largest company by share value, following its successful listing at the Nigeria Stock Exchange (NSE) on May 16, 2019.

Slated for 6pm, everything was set for a night to remember as the guests arrived beaming with smiles and the assurance that they were about to be treated to a luxurious dinner party. On arrival, the guests were treated to cocktail before making their way into the main hall where the different musical acts  billed for the night, such as famed R&B singer, songwriter, and producer, Praiz; popstar, Seyi Shay; and two groups of MTN Foundation MUSON Scholars alumni versed in classical music and the saxophone, took turns to serenade them.

Talk of good service network everywhere you go and MTN is the first telecommunications brand that comes to mind. However, you will be wrong to assume that, that is all the company is good at. Judging by the spectacular party the company pulled (mind you, there was no dull moment), there is definitely more to MTN than good network coverage and affordable data. The special dinner party shows that MTN is not all work and no play. When it comes to celebrating its achievements and major milestones, give it to MTN Nigeria to put on a great show.
