Alleged stolen govt property: Okorocha should apologise to Imo people, says committee (Punch)

The Committee on Recovery of Stolen Imo government assets set up by governor Emeka Ihedioha has told the immediate past governor of the state, Rochas Okorocha, to apologise to the people over the sins he committed against the state.

A statement issued in Owerri on Sunday by Iheanyi Enwerm, on behalf of the committee said that Okorocha should be in a sober mood owing to the number of government assets recovered from his family members and political allies.

The statement said that vehicles, soundproof power generators, chairs, doors, roofing sheets, rugs, kitchen utensils, had allegedly been recovered from members of Okorocha’s family and political allies.

The statement said that looted government assets were discovered at a warehouse in Owerri which allegedly belonged to Okorocha’s wife. Read more
