Atalanta youngster Amad Traore is set to complete a move to Manchester United, according to reports in Italy.
The Red Devils have been in advanced discussions to sign Traore over the last few days and applied for a work permit from the Premier League for the 18-year-old winger on Friday.
The Ivorian has long been earmarked as a future star and became the first player born in 2002 to score a Serie A goal as he netted on his debut in Atalanta’s 7-1 victory over Udinese last season.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Traore had been on the verge of a temporary switch to Parma but Atalanta pulled out of a potential deal with their Italian rivals and instead began negotiating with United.
The report claims United have agreed to part with around €30million (£27m) plus add-ons for Traore.
An agreement has been reached between all the relevant parties but Traore will not be available to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer until January due to work permit and passport issues. (Metro)
