An American citizen attempted to commit suicide on the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos on Monday.

The Lagos State Police command disclosed this in a statement.

The statement revealed that the American, who is in his early 30s, had directed his baby mama to park her vehicle while he walked to a spot on the bridge, intending to jump into the Lagoon. Read more

Tinubu replaces Arase with Argungu as PSC chair, appoints Sheidu as NPTF boss (Leadership)

President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of DIG Hashimu Argungu (Rtd) as the chairman of the Police Service Commission (PSC).

The President has also approved the appointment of Onyemuche Nnamani as Secretary of the Commission and DIG Taiwo Lakanu (Rtd) as member of the Commission.

According to a statement by presidential spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, the appointments are subject to confirmation by the Senate. Read more

A Port Harcourt High Court, presided over by Justice Gbasam on Monday affirmed that Martin Amaewhule and the 26 other members of the Rivers State House of Assembly, are still members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

This as the State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Dagogo Iboroma a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN, immediately urged the public to disregard the reports describing it as misleading.
