Andy Murray suffered a comprehensive straight sets defeat against Daniil Medvedev at the Brisbane International.
The former World No.1, making his comeback having competed in just six events in the whole of 2018, was comprehesively outplayed by the 22-year-old who took just 81 minutes to record a 7-5 6-2 victory.
Murray underwent hip surgery last year and after a hard fought first round win over James Duckworth on Tuesday, admitted he didn’t know much longer his body would allow him to compete at elite level.
He said: ‘I’m happy I’m back out here again, I want to enjoy it as much as I can and just try and enjoy playing tennis as long as I can. I’m not sure how much longer it’s going to last but we’ll see. Read more
