Anthony Joshua urged to retire if he loses Andy Ruiz Jr. rematch (Metro)

Anthony Joshua ‘quit’ during his shock defeat to Andy Ruiz Jr. and must consider retiring if he loses the expected rematch, according to fellow heavyweight Dave Allen.

Mexican star Ruiz produced one of the biggest upsets in the history of the sport to beat Joshua and take his three belts at Madison Square Garden in New York.

Allen says Joshua ‘took a beating’ against the unfancied Ruiz and now faces a fight to rescue his career.

Former Olympic champion Joshua is expected to face Ruiz in a rematch in London before the end of the year. Read more
