Anthony Martial scored a memorable goal for Manchester United against Fulham on Saturday, one that has seen the Frenchman compared to Cristiano Ronaldo.
Martial went on a powerful, pacey run at Craven Cottage, beating two players before stroking the ball home, very much reminiscent of a goal Ronaldo scored for United at the same ground in 2007.
The similar strikes for the same side, against the same opposition obviously led to comparisons being made, and United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believes Martial can reach the same level as the Portuguese superstar.
‘If he wants to be at Cristiano’s level, Anthony knows what he has to do,’ said Solskjaer. ‘It’s up to him. He has the talent.’ Read more
