Arnold Schwarzenegger left ‘shaken’ as flight makes sharp 1,000ft descent after engine problems (Metro)

Arnold Schwarzenegger was on a British Airways plane that was forced to make an emergency detour after the jet began to suffer engine problems.

The Terminator actor was returning to the US on the flight when the flight from Heathrow to Los Angeles made a quick descent of more than a thousand feet as it made a U-turn off the west coast of Scotland to return to London.

Deemed a minor technical issue, BA quickly rerouted the flight back to Heathrow where passengers, including the former California Governor, had to circle over the capital to use up the fuel and land safely.

The Sun reports that the 71-year-old was ‘shaken but impressed with the professional BA crew’.

Arnie and other passengers then stayed overnight at hotels before they headed west on Wednesday. Read more
