Arojah Royal Theatre brings Ken Saro Wiwa’s political satire, ‘The Wheel’ to Abuja audience

Those who missed the chance to see Arojah Royal Theatre’s production of The Wheel by Ken Saro Wiwa in January and March have the opportunity as the Abuja-based company brings it back on Sunday, September 9 and 16, 2018.

Written some three decades ago, the political satire highlights the damaging effect of corruption on our psyche as a people and identifies the need for ethical revolution.

The wheel, Arojah Royal Theatre stated, poses such questions as “who is in charge of governance? The elected official, his party or his cabinet?”

Side attractions would include poetry performances and comedy by @Omoawe and @Gospelalhaji

“It is suitable for the family. It is a must see. It is witty and educating. It has something for everyone,” added the theatre company.

Tickets are already on sale and those living within Gwarimpa, Jahi, Kado and Dawaki axis of the capital city are in proximity of the venue, which is Hilltop Resort Garden, 1st Avenue, Gwarimpa.
