William Saliba appears to be just as excited by Nicolas Pepe’s looming arrival at Arsenal as every other Gooner, following him on Instagram, while Alexandre Lacazette ‘liked’ a post saying the transfer is imminent.
The north London club are hoping to confirm the £72million arrival of Pepe in the coming days, with the 24-year-old reportedly having flown to London to undergo a medical and pen personal terms on a five-year contract.
Pepe scored 22 goals and laid on 11 assists in a superb campaign last season for Lille, and Arsenal will pay just £20m up front with the rest in installments over the next five years.
