“Art in Autism” exhibition holds with support from FBNQuest

An exhibition with the theme “Art in Autism” scheduled to take place from 02 April to 17 April 2022 at Terra Kulture Art Gallery, Victoria Island, Lagos, is in line with FBNQuest’s commitment to support community-led Initiatives.

According to a statement, that is why the asset management company has partnered with PureSouls Learning Foundation, a non-governmental organisation (NGO) established in 2007 on the event.

The NGO has been at the forefront of advocacy for people living with developmental disabilities with its particular focus on Autism and has been advocating for the acceptance, inclusion, education, and skill development of these groups of people.

Autism is a complex developmental disorder that typically appears during the first three years of life and is the result of a neurological disorder that affects the normal functioning of the brain, impacting development in the areas of social interaction, communication, and imaginative skills. Both children and adults with autism show difficulties in verbal and non-verbal communication, social interactions, and leisure or play activities.

Some of them are gifted and talented, these scalable talents need to be encouraged, appreciated, and showcased. One of such activities is Art, through which these individuals find succor and a sustainable career leading to an improvement in their quality of life.

We invite you to join us as we support PureSouls Foundation and the exhibitors (who are children on the autism spectrum).

The Grand Opening will take place Saturday, 02 April from 10 am – 3 pm.

“We look forward to your support as we collectively raise awareness for autism. To learn more about our Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability activities, please click here,” the statement says.
