AWB premieres “She Thrives” podcast series

African Women on Board (AWB) will today, Tuesday, February 9 premiere a violence, women and the workplace podcast series titled, She Thrives. According to an invitation sent to thisislagos.ng, the private event is to take place online via zoom at 11 am (WAT).

Founded by Dr Nkiru Balonwu, the AWB is an independent nonprofit dedicated to advancing narratives and improving realities for African women and girls globally.

The organisation is made up of female and male change-makers from around the world, who share the common goal of fast-tracking the trajectory of African women into leadership positions.

Started in 2017 as a network of women working together to advance the economic, social and political rights of African women, Dr Balonwu has reportedly said that AWB looks at solutions to getting women into senior management, C-suit and board positions.

The She Thrives podcast series, which will focus on safety in the workspace, is one of the many steps the organisation has taken to advance African women,
