Awilo and the 3 women shutting down BAFEST stage Sunday

Awilo is in town and he will be joining the trio of Tiwa Savage, Sho Madjozi and Yemi Alade as well as a host of other notable artistes to thrill at the Born In Africa Festival (BAFEST) on Sunday. That is just about four days to the biggest show this season. That should make anyone excited. It promises to be a total shut down Eko Atlantic City on Sunday, December 16, 2018.

Indeed, Africa’s finest music, movie, fashion and art stars will be sharing the same stage and thrilling fans to exciting music, movie screening, fashion and art exhibition and so much more at the 2018 BAFEST.

“We are going to be celebrating our Africa in grand style with so much love, fun and excitement,” said the organiser’s statement.

Awilo Logomba the Makossa legend will be coming all the way from DR Congo.  How nostalgic that will be for those who grew up in the early 2000s when the dance icon was at the peak of his crowd controller art.

It’s a great time to relive the precious Makossa and Awilo moments with your friends and loved ones. Performing alongside Awilo are Nigeria’s finest Tiwa Savage, Davido, Koko Master Dbanj, Yemi Alade, Kizz Daniel, Flavour and a whole lot of your favourite music artistes.

Particularly, Tiwa Savage, Sho Madjozi and Yemi Alade have topped charts, won awards and collaborated with the best of music stars locally and internationally. These three will help you make up your mind if you have not decided on attending yet even if you are yet to experience the magic of Awilo.

Tiwa Savage: Our very own award-winning singer, songwriter and Mavin Queen, Tiwa Savage will be live at BAFEST.

You certainly can’t wait to get some ‘stewish’ performances from her. We’re looking forward to vibing to – ‘Standing Ovation’, ‘Malo’ and maybe ‘Kele Kele Love’. (remember that?) She also recently won the MTV EMA so this is a great opportunity to celebrate with the super star, innit?

Sho Madjozi: South Africa’s finest rapper, Sho Madjozi delivering hip hop bars in her local Tsonga language. Haven’t heard the Huku and Wakanda forever songs yet? Go listen and get ready, Sho Madjozi isn’t coming to play.

Yemi Alade: The world famous Mama Africa will be getting some ‘Johnnys’ grooving to her sound at BAFEST. Who knows, she might just be taking on the Makossa king, Awilo Longomba.
