A resident of Ushafa Community in Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has been shot dead.
The man was killed when bandits invaded his residence on Thursday night.
A police source confirmed the incident, but did not go into details.

The Lagos State Taskforce has launched a major operation targeting miscreants and suspected criminals along the Lekki-Epe Expressway, aiming to address the increasing criminal activities in the area.

The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has exhumed bodies of kidnapped marine hunters of the Ministry of Internal Security and Inland Waterways.
It was gathered that the victims were kidnapped, murdered and buried in shallow graves, on August 18, by some notorious criminals in Unyenghe, Mbo Local Government Area (LGA) of Akwa Ibom.

A man has been jailed after an off-duty police officer noticed him upskirting a woman at the British Museum.
Metropolitan Police officers launched an investigation into the man after an off-duty City of London Police officer intervened on 19 August – discovering he had similar videos on his phone.
Upskirting, defined as the act of covertly filming or taking a picture under a person’s skirt without gaining their consent, was made a criminal offence in England and Wales in April 2019. Read more

Son Heung-min’s father, Son Woong-jung, a football coach, has reportedly been ‘summarily indicted on Friday’ for charges relating to ‘abusing young players at his South Korean football training centre’.
According to Seoul-based news agency Yonhap, prosecutors have demanded Son senior, and two other football coaches at his training centre, the Son Academy, ‘pay an undisclosed fine’.
The coaches are also being ordered to ‘complete a training program designed to prevent further child abuse.’ Read more
NHL’s Johnny Gaudreau, brother, killed by suspected drunk driver night before sister’s wedding (UPI)
Columbus Blue Jackets winger Johnny Gaudreau, 31, and his 29-year-old brother, Matthew, died after being struck by a vehicle while riding their bikes in Salem County, N.J., New Jersey State Police confirmed Friday.
Police said the driver of that vehicle, 43-year-old Sean Higgins, was “suspected of being under the influence of alcohol” and has been charged with two counts of death by auto as a result of the incident, which occurred Thursday. He was booked into the Salem County Correctional Facility.
The Gaudreau brothers were set to be groomsmen in their sister’s wedding Friday in Philadelphia. Read more
