Barcelona chief sends message to Manchester United over Philippe Coutinho transfer (Metro)

Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu insists Philippe Coutinho will not be sold this summer despite reported interest from Manchester United.

The Brazilian has struggled in his 18 months at the Camp Nou since sealing a £140million move from Liverpool in January 2018.

Barcelona have agreed a deal to sign Frenkie De Jong for £75m and are targeting his Ajax team-mate Matthijs de Ligt, who could potentially cost even more.

Speculation has been rife that the Catalans could cash in on Coutinho to fund their summer spree, with United said to be an interested party. Read more
