Base jumper escapes 180ft mountain fall with just scratches and bruises (Metro)

A base jumper is thanking his lucky stars after surviving a 180ft fall.

A video showed the moment Sam Percival, 35, tumbled down a mountainside when a gust of wind slammed him into a notorious cliff face in the Scottish Highlands on Thursday.

He was attempting to become the first person to jump off Lord Berkeley’s Seat in An Teallach, which has claimed the lives of three walkers this year.

After free-falling 200ft, the gust twisted him 180 degrees into the rock face. Read more
