Bayern Munich offers Alaba to Man City for Sane (Guardian)

Manchester City is desperate to keep hold of Sane amid the interest from Bayern Munich. But the German side is keen to test their resolve as they look to replace the now-departed Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery.

City would have to see huge amounts of money waved their way to consider parting with Sane. But Bayern has offered the Premier League champions David Alaba as bait to tempt City into selling the German, reports Mundo Deportivo.

Alaba was a favourite under Guardiola during his three years in charge at the Allianz Arena. But the arrival of Lucas Hernandez in Bavaria casts doubts over his standing under Niko Kovac.

He currently has a contract until 2021 but is reluctant to sign an extension with his place in the starting XI not guaranteed. Read more
