BBC news presenter posts heartbreaking Instagram revealing she’s only got days to live-(cosmopolitan)

BBC Radio 5 Live news presenter Rachael Bland has been fighting breast cancer since her diagnosis in November 2016, aged 38. But in her most recent post on  Instagram, the presenter and podcaster has announced she has just days to live.

Known for her positive approach to cancer (her Instagram bio reads: “Putting the CAN in cancer”) Rachael co-presents the cancer-themed podcast You, Me and the Big C with fellow sufferers Deborah James and Lauren Mahon.

But in a heartbreaking turn of events, Deborah and Lauren will have to continue presenting the podcast without Rachael, now 40, as she has been informed by doctors she only has days left.

“In the words of the legendary Frank S – I’m afraid the time has come my friends,” she wrote alongside a picture of herself and her husband Steve. “And suddenly. I’m told I’ve only got days. It’s very surreal.

“Thank you so very very much for all your support I’ve received along the way,” she continued, ending the post with “#goodbye”. Read more
