Beyond Wealth Conference 2020 holds December 13

Organisers of the annual Beyond Wealth Conference (BWC) have set a Sunday, 13th December 2020 date for the 2nd edition of the annual event, which is a gathering of corporates and individuals with the sole aim of creating wealth for impact. 

Last year’s conference had speakers like Oba Dokun Thompson,  Erica Freemantle, Mayowa Oluyede, Ndidi Njoku, Anthony Osijo and Prof Nelson Phillips. It also saw the launch of the BW Scholarship.

A statement by the organisers said this year’s virtual conference, to be produced by Inspiro Productions, will have four speakers of international repute talk on several topics around the overall conference theme –“Financial Freedom In Times Of Uncertainty”.

The speakers include Dr. Monica Alabi Founder/Convener Beyond Wealth & Vine Health; Pumela Salela – UK Country Head, Brand South Africa; Bimbola Osagie – Property Investor and Developer and back by popular demand Professor Nelson Phillips – Professor of innovation and strategy, Imperial College London.

The Beyond Wealth initiative founded by Dr Simisola Alabi recognises the importance of wealth consciousness, wealth planning and philanthropy by bringing the together the best minds to share ideas and leverage their network to build their wealth. The objective is also to give back and create an easier path for the next generation. Beyond Wealth has a scholarship programme that provides support for entry into selected universities for black students with the 2nd round of applications opening in November 2020. 5 slots are available per year for scholarship. The process is rigorous consisting of a round of shortlisting and panel interviews. The maiden edition had one successful applicant Godswill Okundaye.

The scholarship is an opportunity for the brightest and most promising young people from black backgrounds in the UK the best chance to attend leading universities and study in a field of their choice. The applicants must be of black origin and must be in in school years 11 or 12. They must also demonstrate a track record of hard work and dedication in their academics. Successful applicants are provided with relevant work experience, personal statement review and interview practice.
