There was pandemonium on Thursday in Okpanam community, in the Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State, as a 60-year-old woman was found hanging on a tree.
PUNCH Metro gathered that the deceased, identified as Mrs Okenyi, was declared missing on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 after she went to her farm and did not return home.
It was gathered that the victim was found hanging on a tree with her farming bag lying afoot the tree.
A source told our correspondent that the mother of two was often seen going to her farm which was far away from where her body was found.
He said, “I do not believe this woman killed herself. The ropes look too short and her legs are too close to the ground.“It is possible that someone killed her and came to hang her on this tree.” (Punch)
