A company boss hired a performance by a hip-hop artist and served tequilas moments after sacking workers to cut costs, it has been revealed.
WeWork CEO Adam Neumann summoned staff to the New York headquarters of the company in 2016 to carry out layoffs of 7 per cent of the staff.
Moments after being told the news employees were given the shots of tequilas which were followed by toasts and a performance by Run-DMC’s Darryl McDaniels, a witness told the Wall Street Journal.
