British Airways pilot strike enters second day after cancelling nearly all flights (Metro)

British Airways pilots will strike for the second day in a row today in a bitter dispute over pay.

The strike grounded nearly all of the airline’s flights on Monday, affecting hundreds of thousands of passengers and costing BA £40 million, according to the British Airline Pilots Association (Balpa).

Balpa say the dispute could have been settled for just £1 million.

It reported support from pilots for the first day of the 48-hour strike was ‘virtually 100%’. Read more
