Bruno Fernandes admits Manchester United were ‘not good enough’ after their hugely disappointing Champions League exit.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side looked on course to progress from Group H after early victories over PSG and RB Leipzig. But the Premier League giants suffered a shock defeat at Istanbul Basaksehir before losing to PSG and Leipzig in their final two group games to fall short. Manchester United needed just a point at Leipzig on Tuesday night to progress but lost 3-2 to slip into the Europa League.
Fernandes, who scored in the defeat, posted on social media: ‘Not good enough from us, we have to do much better to represent a such big club and specially playing in the @championsleague with big teams!’ (Metro)
