Buhari invites Tinubu, Oshiomhole, others to breaking of fast

President Muhammadu Buhari has invited the leaders of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) to break Ramadan fast with him, a few days after the First Lady Aisha Buhari hosted leading presidential aspirants for a similar event.

Buhari’s chief of staff Professor Ibrahim Gambari said in a letter addressed to the national chairman of APC Senator Abdullahi Adamu that the event would hold on the evening of Tuesday, April 26, at the Presidential Banquet Hall of the State House in Abuja.

“In this regard, you are kindly requested by them to attend,” Gambari said in the letter.

“The Leaders are to arrive at the Pilot Gate by 1630 hours for Rapid Covid-19 test at the State House Conference Centre and be seated at the venue by 1800 hours.”

Those invited to the breaking of fast include former Lagos State governor and APC presidential aspirant Bola Tinubu, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, former Adamawa State governor Murtala Nyako, former Ogun State governor Olusegun Osoba, former governor of Osun state Chief Bisi Akande, former APC chairman Adams Oshiomhole, Professor Osunbor, former Sokoto State governor Aliyu Wamako and former Zamfara State governor Sani Yarima.

Others are former Yobe State governor Abba Bukar Ibrahim, former Borno State governor Ali Modu Sheriff, retired General Muhammed Mogoro, Senator Lawal Shuaibu, Senator Abba Aji, Alhaji Tijjani Musa Tumsah, Ambassador Fati Balah, Honourable Abubakar Giri and Alhaji Nasiru Danu. (Guardian)
