Bus driver forced confused dementia sufferer to pay fare after losing pass (Metro)

A bus driver demanded that an elderly man with dementia buy a ticket because he couldn’t find his bus pass.

The unnamed man, in his 70s, was struggling to find the document when the driver told him ‘can’t you find it? £2.30 then.’

Several passengers were said to have pointed out that the man was elderly and should not have to pay for the ticket.

But the Arriva driver in Liverpool would not back down and the money was taken. Read more
