Jussie Smollett is facing fresh claims his attack in Chicago has been ‘staged’ and having her say on the situation, Cardi B has told fans she is ‘disappointed’ in the Empire star if the reports were true.
The 36-year-old was set upon at the end of January by two masked attackers, with reports stating the ordeal was being treated as a ‘hate crime’ as racial and homophobic slurs had been hurled at Jussie during the incident.
It was reported he was ‘beaten up, a noose was put around his neck, and bleach was poured over him’.
Two suspects were arrested but later released without charging and a police spokesperson confirmed to Variety that the ‘trajectory of the investigation has shifted’ following their interviews with the two men. Read more
