CCECC to address concerns of Lagos/Ibadan rail corridor residents (Punch)

The contractor handling the 156-kilometre standard gauge rail line from Lagos to Ibadan, China Civil Engineering Construction Company, has assured residents of communities living along the rail corridor that the company would address all issues they have raised concerning their welfare and primary infrastructure before the final completion and handing over of the project.

The firm’s position was contained in a press statement on Tuesday by its media adviser, Dr Eshemokha Maho.

Maho was reacting to recent agitation by the communities for the provision of an overhead bridge and link road for the use of residents.

He cited two communities, Laderin and Alagada, as those who recently protested. Read more
