Chaos broke out today at the popular Ojota end of Ikorodu road as officials of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) clashed with some street urchins and commercial bus drivers.
The LASTMA officials numbering 12 had arrested the commercial vehicle, popularly called ‘Danfo’ with registration number KJA 466 XD for allegedly contravening traffic rules at 11:20 am but the driver, passengers and bystanders claim the driver committed no offence.
While the argument a Pick-up vehicle filled with Task Force officials arrived and with this, the LASTMA officials started beating up the area boys, arrested the driver of the bus and forcefully impounded the vehicle. Read more
