Chimeka Woke, a lawyer,  wins house in Glo Festival of Joy promo

The latest house winner in the ongoing Glo Festival of Joy promo,

26-year-old Chimeka Woke, has said that Globacom gave him a new house just when he was beginning to get worried about how to raise enough money to pay for an apartment to move his wife and 11-month-old baby into.

The lawyer from Rivers State could not contain his joy at the presentation ceremony where he received the keys to the apartment on Friday, December 8, 2022, in Port Harcourt. He said he had just dropped off his recuperating father at the hospital for a physiotherapy session and was waiting when his phone rang only to be told that he had won a 3-bedroom house.

“I literally abandoned my dad and ran to the Glo office on Aba Road just

to be sure I heard well,” he said, adding that it sounded too good to be

true for someone staying in his father’s Boys Quarters to be called and told he had just won a house.

“It was as if God and Globacom were monitoring me,” he disclosed.

He thanked Globacom immensely for initiating and sustaining such a huge

subscriber-reward programme.

“I am very grateful,”  he added.

Speaking at the event, Barrister Ben Eke, Chairman of Ahoada Local Government Area, said Globacom is known for empowering Nigerians. He added that, “For giving people opportunity to own a house, I must congratulate you. I am going to be your ambassador in propagating your good work”.

Also, His Royal Highness, Eze (Dr) Anugbom Onuhua, Eze Orlu Ekpodota 1, said “for what Globacom has done today, I am going to be an ambassador of the company, telling people what you are doing”.

The Head of Licensing and Operations at the Port Harcourt Zonal Office of the National Lottery Regulatory Commission (NLRC), Mr Walson Dambo who said the Festival of Joy promo has been closely monitored by the commission to ensure compliance, commended Globacom for its transparency.

With 20 houses, 24 brand new cars, power generators, sewing machines and rechargeable fans, the Festival of Joy promo is set to delight Glo subscribers across the country and reward them for their loyalty.

“To participate in this promo, voice and data customers just have to dial *611# and recharge with N500 weekly to stand a chance to win the rechargeable fan, N2,500 monthly recharge for the Sewing Machine, N5,000 monthly recharge for the generator, and N10,000 monthly recharge for the car,” Globacom explained, adding that “subscribers who desire to become landlords and landladies of 3-bedroom houses like today’s winner courtesy of Glo Festival of Joy must make data subscription(s) of at least N20,000 during the promo period”.
