Club seeks reduction in infant mortality (Punch)

The Rotary Club of Omole-Golden, District 9110, has promised to build a neonatal clinic for the Ifako Ijaiye General Hospital, Lagos State.

The President of the group, Ibironke Alaba, said the club was passionate about reducing infant mortality in the country, adding that the clinic was among several other projects for the rotary year.

Alaba spoke at Arepo, Ogun State, on Saturday at her installation as the 15th president of the club.

She explained that the clinic would also accommodate the incubators and photo therapy machines that had been donated in the past to the hospital.

She said, “Our focus is building a neonatal clinic for the Ifako Ijaiye General Hospital. It is our star project.  It is a two-storeyed building with all the designs to accommodate neonatal equipment. We have been donating incubators and photo therapy machines to the hospital. Read more
