A truck driver, Olatunji Alade, has been arraigned before the Ebute Meta Magistrate’s Court, Lagos, for allegedly assaulting an official of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Lagos State Command.
PUNCH Metro gathered that the unnamed FRSC officer, while on a patrol on July 3, 2022, was assaulted after being abducted to an unknown location.
Alade was arraigned on four counts.
The driver, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges as the court remanded him in a custodial centre.
The Public Education Officer of the FRSC, Bisi Sonubi, in a statement on Tuesday, said Alade would remain in custody until he met his bail conditions of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum. (Punch)
