The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) Friday night confirmed 238 new cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) bringing the number in the country to 2, 170. The NCDC made the confirmation via its official Twitter @NCDCgov tweeting, “238 new cases of #COVID-19.”
The NCDC goes on to give the breakdown with Kano State leading with 92 cases, while the Federal Capital Territory follows with 36 and Lagos 30.
Gombe is next with 16, Bauchi- 10, Delta-8, Oyo-6, Zamfara and Sokoto 5 each, Ondo and Nasarawa both have 4 cases apiece. Kwara, Edo, Ekiti, Borno and Yobe each have 3 new cases. Adamawa, Niger, Imo, Ebonyi, Rivers and Enugu complete the list of new cases with one case in the six states.
The NCDC added that 351 cases have been discharged, while 68 deaths have so far been recorded.
