Dana crash: Victims’ families canvass for safer skies at seventh anniversary (Punch)

Families of victims of the ill-fated Dana flight 9J 922 that crashed on June 3, 2012, are calling for safer skies in the aviation sector, as they mark the seventh anniversary of the air mishap that left about 159 persons dead.

Speaking under the aegis of the Safer Skies Foundation, the families of those affected in the crash stated that memories of the June 3, 2012 incident had remained fresh in their hearts.

They promised to dedicate their energies to ensuring that air travel in Nigeria, after June 3, 2012, was safer than would have been the case.

According to them, The Safer Skies Nigeria Foundation was formed by families of the Dana Plane Crash alongside families of all other previous plane crashes in Nigeria, in furtherance of the objective of making air travel in Nigeria and around the world safer. Read more
