Daniel Cormier advises UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou to avoid fighting Tyson Fury

Daniel Cormier has told UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou to avoid a boxing match with Tyson Fury.

The ‘Gyspy King’, the WBC heavyweight champion has spoken about fighting ‘The Predator’ in the past, and is still keen on going up against him in a crossover bout.

It would see both contestants meet in boxing ring but use MMA gloves, with plenty of respect between the pair..

Cameroonian mixed martial artist Ngannou watched boxing from a young age and idolised Mike Tyson, whilst dreaming that he would one day compete in the sport.

Given Fury’s comments in January 2021, where he teased Ngannou about ‘making some real money’, the prospect of both fighters coming together is very real.

With that said, Cormier is strongly against the idea, and has told the 35-year-old to avoid the fight having witnessed his abilities in the ring against Deontay Wilder in their epic trilogy.

“Oh, I don’t like that. I don’t like that for Francis,” Cormier said when asked who would win out of him and Fury.

“Tyson Fury, let me tell you something, the Gypsy King, he’s insane. (TalkSport)
