Former world champion Gary Anderson has denied farting on stage during a match and says he thought his opponent had ‘sh*t himself’.
Anderson’s victory over Wesley Harms in the Grand Slam of Darts on Friday was overshadowed by accusations of farting.
The players blamed each other for the ‘rotten smells’ on stage during a match which Anderson won 10-2 to progress to the quarter-finals of the competition.
Speaking after the defeat, Dutch star Harms accused Anderson of breaking wind, saying: ‘It’ll take me two nights to lose this smell from my nose.’
