Day 14 – Not all men are scum (Erotica/PG14)

A Sunday morning never felt so quiet.

I rolled out of bed at about 7am. We had gone to bed pretty early for the first time in days.

I exercised. Brushed and then after voiding myself got in the shower. I was in the shower when Taiye came to join me.

We made out, showered then continued in bed.

This time she wanted it slow and I was game.

We sat on the bed, legs folded underneath our bums, Tantric style. We kissed slowly, her breasts against my chest, my whatchaamacallit teasing the tip of her parted sex and then when things got hot and heavy, she eased off and I slid into her and then we began this slow sweet dance that went on for a long while until my waist began to remind me that I was no longer 25.

“Let’s do that intimate shit,” I said and she laughed as she untangled herself and lay back on the bed.  I lay on top of her, pubis to pubis, bosom to bosom, lips to lips and rode her to heaven.

“Dude, we can’t do that intimate shit all the time, shit leaves me fucking weak, man,” Taiye said panting.

“Yes, ma’am,” I said, bending close to kiss her.

Breakfast was coffee and wrap with cheese and corned beef.

We sat in the living room, naked and not ashamed, watching TV and just gisting.

“So, would you have been all alone if I hadn’t come jumping all over you,” Taiye said sticking the last of the wrap in my mouth for a bite.

“You didnt come jumping over me,” I said as I took a bite.

“Oh, shut up. I practically seduced you.”

“Is that what you tell yourself to feel good,” I said and she kicked me playfully on the shin..

“Answer me, man.”

“Honestly?”

“Yeah, honest.”

I was hoping to invite someone. A doctor,” I told her.

“Oh, for some sexual healing,” Taiye said with a wink.

“Kind of,” I said and laughed.

“So sorry, I got in the way.”

“Ahh, there is nothing to be sorry about. It was work in progress. How about you?”

“Oh, no plans. Haven’t had a man in months. That’s why I am as horny AF,” she said and laughed. “Got to go. I need to do laundry then tidy and dust that apartment. It’s been a while.”

I followed her as she picked up the tray with the mugs and dishes and went to the kitchen.

“You need a hand with tidying up?” I asked hugging her from behind, my rising erection digging into her soft behind.

“Don’t stick that thing in me. I have work to do, man,” she said as I cupped her boobs.

“Let me do this work first,” I said, turning her around and hoisting her onto the marble surface.

“You are one horny bastard, you know that,” she told me as she took my face in her wet palms and kissed me full on the lips.

“At your service ma’am,” I said as I penetrated her.

While Taiye sorted out her flat, I showered and checked my emails. There was one from my Lekki client. I didn’t even bother reading it.

WebMD had something fresh for us. There was an article I liked. 27 Ways to Show Love to Others While Social Distancing. I read it then sent it to my my mum, sister, Aramide, Taiye, Vic and Abiye, the doctor I was supposed to hook up with.

One of the best things you can do for yourself is to serve others, especially when you’re struggling. Reaching out to someone else gets us out of our heads and keeps us from focusing on our own difficulties.

The ongoing COVID-19 crisis is a perfect opportunity to think about what we can do for others. Of course, physical distancing limits some of the ways you might ordinarily reach out to others: Taking someone out to lunch is out of the question, as is going to the movies. Many people would probably be uncomfortable receiving homemade baked items or hand-delivered cards, due to concerns about infection. And you can only send so many “thinking of you” texts and emails.

Thankfully there are creative ways to show love, even with the physical distancing restrictions in place…If you’re looking for ways to lift up the people in your life, here are 27 suggestions.

For someone outside your household:

  1. Send a gift card.
  2. Send your favorite online yoga or exercise video.
  3. Send tea.
  4. Send them music they’ll love.
  5. Send Bath supplies
  6. Call them on the phone or video call.
  7. Send them a loving text about a favorite time with them.
  8. Give them a certificate for a future date together.
  9. Take them to the movies (online).
  10.  Send a bulb or seed starter kit.
  11. Send them a daily reading book to do together. Metta meditation.

For someone you live with:

  1. Give a foot rub or scalp massage.
  2. Make someone a cup of tea.
  3. Do a chore for them.
  4. Run them a bath.
  5. Listen intently.
  6. Make them their favorite meal.
  7. Read to them.
  8. Watch the kids while your partner takes a walk.
  9. Tidy up.
  10. Clean the fridge.
  11. Organize the (probably full) pantry.
  12. Make a card.
  13. Offer a vagus nerve hug.
  14. Scratch their back to fall asleep.

I made a mental note to give Taiye a foot and scalp massage then scratch her back before we sleep.

I was putting stuff in the washing machine when my phone buzzed. It was Abiye.

“Someone remembered me today,” she charged.

“So, sorry. Guilty as charged.”

“How was the UK?”

“Good.”

“I thought we were going to quarantine together,” she said.

“Yes o, but I got back just as the border was closing. I needed to self isolate for 14 days as you guys advised.”

“Are 14 days done, are you okay?” she asked.

“I am good,” I  said.

“So?”

“Abiye, we are on lockdown, you know.”

“Zeal, is there some other girl with you? Tell me. I am a big girl. I can handle it besides it’s not as if I am asking for marriage.”

“But we can’t move around, babes,” I said evading the question.

“Zeal, I am a doctor. No one is going to stop me. Ok, let it go. Was nice hearing from you again.”

I held the phone in my hand long after she had cut off and I was like damn. I didn’t even know what to send her in reply.

I put the clothes in, cranked it up to 60 degrees and then stepped into the shower.

I heard the banging on the door and knew it would be Taiye. I ran out, soap and all to open the door. She was dressed in jeans and tee shirt and agitated AF.

“I have to go, Zeal,” she said as soon as I opened the door.

“Go where? I asked.”

“Ilupeju. My dad tripped on the staircase and seems to have broken something. My mum just called.”

“Oh boy. Why don’t you wait so I drive you.”

“No, it’s okay. They are taking him to an orthopedic clinic in Victoria Island. His doctor sent an ambulance. I will just drive there. I packed a bag. Not sure how long I will be there.”

“A bag. Wow. You sure you don’t want me to drive you?”

“It’s okay, Zeal. I have to run.”

We kissed perfuctorily and then she was gone.

I finished my bath, dressed up and called Taiye. She didn’t pick. So I sent a message.

“Babe, I am dressed and if you let me know where I will drive down. Call me.”

I was watching Queen Sono when her message came in about an hour later

“Daddy broke his arm. They just finished assessment and xrays. They are going to do put a cast then observe him today before sending him home tomorrow.”

“Where is the place. On my way.”

I was in the car when her message came in with the address and I was there in less than 30 mins. It was on Muri Okunola.

“Ahh, Zeal, I am beginning to see  you too much,” her dad joked as I stepped into his room.

“How are you feeling, sir?” I ask as I drew close to his bed.

“Old soldier never die,” he said and then he just nodded off.

“They gave him something to make him sleep,” Taiye explained as we walked outside.

“I have to move to Ilupeju until he is a bit better and maybe see if we can find a live-in nurse and help. My mum is getting forgetful and clearly can’t cope alone with him.”

“Wow, that’s mad.”

“I know babes, but they need me,” she said kissing me.

I drove home with my thoughts in a jumbled mix. Just when things were getting interesting Taiye and I were being separated.

Home, I dropped my clothes in the bin, showered, checked social media and had a nap. I woke up at about 7 pm and warmed some asun then sat before the tv and washed it down with whisky.

Infections were still on the rise and folks were doing stupid shit. Some one fled the isolation center in Osun state but was promptly arrested. News on social media said a man refused to be taken to isolation and was practically forced. The actress Funke Akindele was arrested after a video of her and her husband hosting a party hit the internet.

South Africa is bending the curve with an aggressive approach that has seen only 5 deaths out of 1,400 infections. The health authorities have introduced drive through test centers and daily tests are being ramped up to hit 30,000 daily.

Meanwhile in Nigeria, the infection jumped by 8 cases on Sunday moving the needle from 224 to 232 with 5 deaths, and 33 recoveries.

As I sat there eating asun and watching TV, something said buzz Abiye and ask her to come over but then something else said Zeal, don’t do that man, women already think men are scum.

That’s how I chilled. I sent Taiye a whatsapp message asking after her Dad, then I went back to drinking whisky and watching TV until I fell asleep right there on my couch and dreamt of Taiye.
