Deontay Wilder responds to rumours he rejected $100m DAZN offer to fight Anthony Joshua (Metro)

Deontay Wilder has suggested he is not ready to give up being a free agent as he prepares to officially announce his decision to face Dominic Breazeale on Showtime rather signing up with DAZN.

The Bronze Bomber held talks with the streaming service in New York last week and was offered $100million for three fights; the first his WBC mandated title defence against Breazeale followed by two fights against Anthony Joshua – worth $40m (£30m) each.

Wilder was ringside in Dallas on Saturday night to watch Errol Spence Jr see off Mikey Garcia and was asked about the DAZN offer afterwards, suggesting he is worth even more than was offered. Read more
